The Backstory
The “Atlas” group of paintings became the interior panels of Xin’s house, a 7’ x 13‘ x 13‘ structure, a metaphoric representation of the world in a small home, our home, planet earth and the endless manifestations of human consciousness and it’s search for meaning. (All paintings are 80 x 72 inches – Encaustic and Oil on panel)
The installation ultimately became a platform for a mixed reality event, taking place in both the real world, and in the virtual world of Second Life.
